About the Founder
Hi, I'm Eddie! Founder of HALENIAN and a professional producer and director based in Toronto, Canada.
Ever since I was 12, I've wanted to be a film director. As the top graduate from my year at Sheridan College's Film & TV program, I've spent the last half-decade working as a full-time producer on commercial and web projects across North America.
But in my spare-time, I'm an aspiring indie filmmaker determined to make creative projects that resonate.
I've written, directed, and produced several short films since college, with my most recent project, "OPIA", going to international festivals and picking up more than a dozen awards.
But the sky's the limit, and there's plenty of room to grow as both a filmmaker and as a production company. I've got a lot of cool ideas I'm working on, and hope to get several projects off the ground and onto the screen in the very near future!
What Is
Halenian?
In terms of a production company, we are a new entity in the Canadian film world, hoping to carve out a niche in the sci-fi, horror, and drama categories. We produce unique short film concepts that explore contemporary themes such as technology, consciousness, addiction, and more, typically in a near-future setting. We take heavy inspiration from contemporary sci-fi works such as Black Mirror.
While our catalog is primarily short films, we plan to expand into feature-length productions in the near-future. Our limits are only how far we're willing to let our creativity take us.
